For this double barrel our Rye Whiskey is finished in Carribean Rum casks. This unique second finishing provides a discernible rum nose laid over the top of a deep rye character. The nose has lots of rum notes and is fruity with hints of brown sugar and honey over the peppery rye. The taste is more rye forward initially, spicy and robust then moves into a creamy rum finish with mild sweetness and notes of stone fruit (cherry, plum).
